WALK FOR LIVES
Walk for Lives: Mt. Shasta Success!
We are celebrating a powerful Walk for Lives event with 92 walkers and nearly 150 gathered for the speaker program. The community came together in strength and remembrance as we honored loved ones and raised awareness about the dangers of fentanyl.
We were joined by Former Senator Brian Dahle and current Senator Megan Dahle, with Brian offering heartfelt words. Our speaker lineup also included Sheriff LaRou, District Attorney Kirk Andrus, Elizabeth Riggal from Sisikiyou Health Education Coordinator, D.A.R.E. Officer Stephen Goldberry, Carter (Sam’s sister), Chris (Sam's dad), and Eli Jones, a bereaved parent, who shared their stories with courage and honesty.
The turnout, the energy, and the compassion shown were a true reminder of what happens when a community unites for a cause that matters deeply. Thank you to everyone who walked, spoke, and stood with us.
Thank you to our board for all the amazing help!
Thank you to all the vendors: Boys and Girls Club, Lone Pine Blooms, Siskiyou Health Education, Kendyl with Everwoven Loops, Maggie with Art Block Photobooth, and Drizzle from Mt Shasta. Beautiful photography by Cale Connor.
